Benefits of a HEPA air purifier

HEPA Air Purifiers Remove over 99% of Airborne Pollutants

HEPA filters, or High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance filters, are found in most of our models- all HEPA filters are designed as 0.3 microns to stop the majority of harmful particulates. A high quality air purifier HEPA filter not only acts as a sieve to passing air, it also draws and traps airborne particles at a rate of more than 99%, eliminating many fine particles and allergens from the air that you breathe. That's why an air cleaner with HEPA air filter is the top pick for those with allergies or pets at home. Talk to us to find out where to buy an Ionmax HEPA air purifier Australia wide.

Air Filters Remove 99% of Allergens and Odours from the Air

Other than HEPA filters, Ionmax air purifiers include a range of filtration and sanitisation technology to remove bacteria, pollen, allergens, pollutants, and odours from indoor air. This includes active carbon filters, negative ionisation, and Titanium Dioxide filtration combined with UV sterilisation to filter out large particles such as hair, dust, and pet dander, as well as effectively deodorise the air- deactivate Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and remove airborne indoor air pollutants such as mold spores.

What is a HEPA filter?

HEPA filters are specially designed to filter finer particulates that other filters can't detect out of the air. HEPA filters are composed of randomly arranged fibers in the form of a mat- these fibers are usually made up of fiberglass and possess diameters between 0.5 and 2.0 micrometers. The air space between HEPA filter fibers is typically much greater than 0.3 μm (micrometer). The common assumption that a HEPA filter acts like a sieve where particles smaller than the largest opening can pass through is incorrect and impractical. Unlike membrane filters at this pore size, where particles as wide as the largest opening or distance between fibers can not pass in between them at all, HEPA filters are designed to target much smaller pollutants and particles.
