Buy it on Dicksmith/Kogan

Think I already wrote a review, but just got an automated email asking for another review, so here it is again:

I was very excited about this purchase (email below), until I saw that this same product was sold on the dicksmith/appliances online websites for +20% cheaper!

This is causing me a bit of a buyer's remorse, and Customer Support couldn't do anything even though I've reached out via email already. Hence the negative review.

Does what it's supposed to do!

This is a very functional product. The controls aren't very user friendly, but it's easy enough if you use it often or have the manual handy. Sometimes the reading is inaccurate, so I need to take a couple of readings to get a consistent result. But it's a good product for the price.

Hi, i used the breathelizer and doesn’t show a figure only a letter……
Its a AlcoSense ELITE 3
Keeps showing F1o
Its not working as easy as it should.

Hi Randall,

Thank you for your feedback.

I believe you're having some difficulties with your unit showing 'FLO'. May I know if you continued to blow into the unit after you hear the beeping sound it makes?

One of the common mistake is stopping before the unit has enough breath sample. The beeping noise it produces is an indicator to keep blowing UNTIL you hear a double beep or feel a double click to stop.

If you stop blowing before the double beep, the unit will come up with 'FLO' which indicates that it does not have enough breath sample.

Please watch the video below on the steps of blowing into an Alcosense breathalyser:

Best thing I ever bought should’ve got one along time ago

We have been really struggling to make our unit work. Looking for a useful video to check we are doing it right. We are doing everything in the instructions but not getting a reading.

All good

All good

Handy breathalyser

Got this as a birthday gift. I like that it is small and sleek. Easy to use and looks modern and stylish. The hard pouch is nice for storing mouthpieces and protecting the breathalyser.

Rajiv's Review

I am very happy to have the elite 3 as it gives me very accurate reading and worth the cost.

It does not work

And returning it is probably more trouble than it is worth.

Hi Ian,

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you're having issues with your unit.

I believe you've been in contact with us on 5/6/2019 and we've issued a return authorization on 6/5/2019 to have the unit returned for inspection.

We apologise for the inconvenience this have caused as we understand it is a hassle to return the unit. We hope to be able to quickly resolve this issue for you once we've received the unit.

Pleased with device but did

Pleased with device but did have concerns until three discussions with help line on following matters:
- Users manual not sufficiently clear re opening of device to clear battery insulation for operation but discussion clarified.
- problem with airflow when using plastic mouthpiece found to be due to blocked airway due malformation of tube, after noting that OK without mouthpiece during discussion with helpline.
- although user manual referred to "click" I had taken beep as finalising operation and therefore was not getting reading but "OUT" on display. Operator clarified for me.

Now all OK and understood. Thanks
