This year may be looking a little different, but one thing that hasn’t changed in 2020 is the focus for the annual Queensland Road Safety Week (QRSW), kicking off today Monday, August 24 – Friday, August 28.
Every day, road crashes devastate the lives of Queenslanders and take an enormous toll on families and communities.
The number of lives lost and people seriously injured in crashes on Queensland roads continues to rise.
This year Queenslanders are being asked to design and post a sign sharing important road safety messages.
How to get involved:
- Think of a road safety message to share with your community
- Create a sign displaying that message – use an existing sign or message board, or create your own on a poster, cardboard or whatever is available
- Take a photo of your sign and share it on the StreetSmarts website
